Bhutan, officially the Kingdom of Bhutan, is a small country in South Asia. Known for its rich culture and tradition, it is located at the eastern end of the majestic Himalayas. It is boarded to east, west and south by India and to the north by China. It has been very popular among tourists with its attractions, unique culture & traditions and availability of many adventure sport activities. The capital and largest city of this country is Thimphu. Damphu, Paro, Punakha, Trongsa, Trashigang, Mongar, Jakar, etc are other major cities and towns in this country.

The national symbols of Bhutan, also called Bhutan sacred symbols, include national flag, national anthem, national emblem, and Druk (Dragon). These sacred or national symbols of this country are established variously by law and tradition. Have a look at these symbols in short details. Druk (Dragon) is the national symbol of this country.

Flag of Bhutan: The national flag of Bhutan is divided diagonally into two sections with a white Dragon in the centre. The color of upper diagonal section is yellow and the color of lower diagonal section is orange. They yellow color of the flag represents spiritual tradition. The orange color of the flag represents the spiritual tradition. The white color of the Dragon in the centre of the flat stands for peace. The roaring mouth of the dragon represents the protection of the country from worldly evils. The dragon clutching jewels in its claws symbolizes the wealth & prosperity of the country.

Emblem of Bhutan: The national emblem of Bhutan is a circular structure. The circular emblem has two crossed vajras (diamond thunderbolt) kept over a lotus. They are surmounted by jewels and framed by two white dragons
