Nipping guinea pig! help please! need to know, how to stop this behavior?
I asked this question once and got some answer about ebay?!? Any way, his name is Bless-you, and he nips at everything and anything! I gave him a chew toy but he still nips so I need help to stop this behavior! He's only a baby, about 5 or 6 weeks old. Bless-you is sweet and calm but he still nips. Could it be because he's a baby?
It is most likely because he is a baby. But still you should see if you can identify why he is nipping. Does he do it when you try to pick him up? When you hold him? Completely randomly? My guinea pig only nips when you touch his stomach because he hates his tummy being touched. As I'm sure you can imagine this makes it difficult to pick him up. But I've learned to adapt and I now use a towel when I pick him up. It makes him much more comfortable, and me. Their is no way to really STOP the behavior mostly because discipline does not work for guinea pigs. Despite what some people say flicking their noses, blowing on the faces, and yelling at them only serves to make them terrified of you.
If you can't find any specific time when he does it then I would assume it is because he is young. And if this is the case than I would try to hand feed him veggies everyday to help get him to bond with you.

Since my childhood I have always looked forward to Christmas. Christmas I find works wonders for me. There is so much of festivity and love in the air that one forgets all problems in life. I have always shared the same feeling every Christmas.
Christmas was my favourite festival even as a child. Christmas meant school holidays and nice things to eat.Days and weeks earlier the preparations would begin at home. We would always love helping our mother in doing the spring cleaning of the house. Attic used to be the favourite place that we loved to go and clean. We would wait to get our hands on the old trunks and take out our old toys while our parents always tried to throw away old and unwanted things. While our parents wanted us to give away our used toys, we would want to keep it and play with it too. Of course when it comes to the Christmas tree, one cannot forget the rituals year after year. It was always the same ritual with all of us piling into daddy's car to fetch the Christmas tree home and spend late hours decorating it. Not to forget how as children we waited up sleepily thinking that Santa is going to come down and hand us our presents. How can we not mention the good food, the chocolates, special sweets and lots of goodies that happened to us during Christmas times.
By the time I went to high school and later to the college, things changed with me and Christmas too changed. This was the time when I started communing with god and realised that I was a soul. I enjoyed all the things that I engaged with right from the singing with the Church group to the Christmas mass and the other projects that the group at the church undertook. The best thing that happened to me was the study group which took bible lessons and studied Christ's teachings.This was certainly a revelation to me. I guess I grew up a lot during those years.I could identify and give an expression to that inner restlessness and the unsaid expressions that were hidden within me.I could for once see the path in life ahead of me. Of course I am not referring to my life in terms of the temporal world at all. What was clear to me was the path to perfection as a human soul. It was clear to me that to follow Christ's teaching in life and imbibe those values was the way ahead.He taught and gave us the values to live by which are relevant even to this day. My personal goal in life was very clear that I wanted to walk the way that Christ taught and perfect my soul.
If at all my life boat has always been sailing on calm waters avoiding storms, it is because I have tried to walk by the truth and the values as taught to me. That doesn't mean that I haven't had any downturns and problems in my family life as well as in financial life.But no torment of the external world has ever been able to shake my inner being which is grounded firmly with the divine.
If I have become a successful doctor today, I am not to be congratulated on my success.I have been led to choose an vocation keeping in line with the aim of service. I have had to put my best effort and heart to serve all those and am amply rewarded in life in every which way financially or otherwise.
